I love finding a great bargain - who doesn't, right?  I think my love for sales originated in college, where I had champagne tastes on a beer budget.  I went to school in San Francisco where every designer brand under the sun was at my fingertips.  At that time, I couldn't afford these higher end items and would wait patiently for department store or samples sales in the hopes of scoring that one coveted piece.   Even now, despite the fact that I have a bit more disposable income I've continued looking for bargains.  For me, finding that fabulous dress or blouse heavily discounted is like finding a needle in a haystack.  That said, "members only" online designer sales have become the new equivalent of my discount shopping sojourns. Designer items, on sale, and only a click lies between you and that dream piece.  Many of these sites offer up to 60% off retail prices and are a fantastic way to beef up your wardrobe on a budget.

Although, there are several designer discount sites but I am going to focus on my two favorites.

The Mini Social focuses on mother, baby, and child - I especially like this site for children's apparel.  They have fantastic assortment of smaller, independent, boutique lines - you're likely to discover new lines that are sure to become favorites.  In order to have access to the online sales you must sign up as a member - the site then notifies you of weekly sales.  Once notified log in and start shopping.

The second site is a great source for higher end designer clothing.  They phenomenal sales for women, men, and children at Gilt.  

This site is by invitation only, you must be invited by an existing member to join.  So, hit me up if you need an invite.  High end designer brands such as Thakoon, Derek Lam, and even Vera Wang have recently been featured.  I have also seen more affordable lines such as Tory Burch, Cole Haan, and Ralph Lauren Children promoted.  Each week you will be sent an email noting the week's sales, you will also receive a daily email reminding you of sales for the day.  The online store opens promptly at 12:00 Eastern time, 9 am Pacific - quantities are limited so log in early for the best selection.
