Posh Mom Picks - Nordstrom

I love Nordstrom; it's a one stop shop. I can pick up shoes for the kids, dress shirts for my hubby, and grab a new pair of jeans for myself all in one place.  Plus, you just can't beat Nordstrom's customer service - period.  Growing up in the suburbs of Northern California my department store choices were few but that all changed the day Nordstrom opened up in my town.  Once arrived, my mother quickly became a Nordstrom devotee and my sister and I were brought up knowing that this store was by far more superior than other retailers.  Like most mother's and daughters our recreational time was spent shopping and although it may seem shallow many of my favorite memories take place in this store.  My mother would take us for lunch in the cafe and afterwards treat us to a new T or dress from Brass Plum (oh, the memories).  

To this day, even though I have since been introduced to Saks and Neimans I still gravitate towards my local Nordstrom store.  The merchandise is fashion forward enough for my tastes and I always find what I need from my Current Elliot jeans to Splendid T's, the choices are always plentiful.  Plus, if they don't have what you need, there isn't a store associate who wouldn't call around to ensure you went home with the item of your desire.  Every single time, I shop at Nordstrom I feel as if I am being treated to the highest level of customer service and in this day and age this can often be hard to come by.

My two girls are already in sync with my Nordstrom shopping habits. On a regular basis, you will find me browsing around the Savvy department - girls in tow.  I suppose I am keeping up with the longstanding mother-daughter shopping traditions set in place so long ago.
